The Royal Botanic Gardens comprise 300 riverside acres, planted with every conceivable variety of tree, shrub and flower. In summer it's a wonderful place to be. The seven glasshouses include the Palm House, where you can look down on a jungle of palms and fern. Kew also boasts the finest collection of orchids in the world.
